Autumn retreat from 26 October to 3 November

-

This retreat is open to all, beginners or advanced. Experienced monks and nuns are available to answer questions from people coming for the first time.

It is aimed at people wishing to discover Zen meditation (Zazen) and all aspects of daily life in a Buddhist temple. Teachings and exchanges between participants will shed light on posture and state of mind during zazen, on the meaning of ceremonies and on practice in general.

The 8-day retreat is divided into two parts:

  • Preparation: From Friday 25th in the evening (arrival between 5pm and 6pm) to Wednesday 30th (after breakfast). The timetable is divided between meditation, teaching, samu (collective work) and rituals.
There are also moments of relaxation (a good convivial meal on Tuesday evening and a day of rest on Wednesday).
  • Sesshin: From Wednesday 30th (6pm) to Sunday 3rd November (3pm), a more intensive period centred on zazen, Zen meditation.

It is possible to take part at the first part, the second part or the whole.

A great opportunity to discover or deepen the practice of Zen!
