Gotan-e sesshin

From 15 to 18 April the Gotan-e Sesshin took place. A very special sesshin, as it celebrates the birthday of Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha. This year it was held in total silence.

It ended with the traditional "baby Buddha bath" ceremony. Each in turn, practitioners pour water on the head of a small Buddha.
