Meditate for climate
On October 17 and 18 the interfaith organisation Greenfaith is organising a series of climate justice actions.
As this theme is close to our hearts, just before the COP 26, we decided to join the movement and set up an action at the monastery: Meditating for Climate.
WHY?
Through this moment of spirituality, we wish to witness as Buddhists our daily commitment towards degrowth and decarbonization of our lives.
Sitting in silence, not consuming, soothing the mind and helping to reduce the CO2 footprint.
Finally, we will have at that moment a common, deep, open intention towards all the people who are less fortunate than us and already suffer from climate disruption. An event co-organised with Kibo Farm.
When
Sunday 17 October from 11am to 12pm.
PROCESSING
- 11am-11:30am: meditation in silence
- 11:30am: teaching by Zen master Olivier Reigen Wang-Genh on climate justice
